7th Grade!

It feels like yesterday I was holding Alec in the NICU for the first time. And now he's off to 7th grade. I don't even know how to explain the emotions. I saw a meme on Facebook the other day that said "when I had little kids, I thought older kids would be easier, but now that I have older kids, I've never paid or prayed so much in my life!". It couldn't be more spot on!

As parents we have to let our kids spread their wings, but I'd be lying if I said it isn't scary!

I'm so proud of the young man this tiny baby is growing into. He's an accomplished (national champion!) gymnast, a straight A student, and an all around kind, sweet and thoughtful kid.

I'm writing this on Sunday night, sitting in all of my feelings, wondering where the time went. For some reason, 7th grade just feels big!

Wishing you all a great start to your week!
